Matt, what I found was that *for me* there was no downside to using a single 43-inch 4K monitor to using dual 30-inch monitors (which is what I was using up until recently). I think the reason most work setups use dual monitors is that good large 4K monitors only started becoming available in the last few months.

Plus, many people may worry (as I did) that these monitors are too large. I suppose some people may find two smaller monitors preferable (it is a matter of taste after all), but neither I nor other people I know who have switched to the new large monitors have found it to be a problem. Try it, you’ll like it.
